Graphic Design 101: Why Students Never Read Anything
Session Description:
Does your office have a professional graphic designer or are you functioning in a do-it-yourself kind of world? Do you know which fonts to use to increase readability and visual appeal? For emphasis, is it best to use bold, italic or underscored text…or perhaps something else altogether? For graphics, should you go with a jpeg, tif or png file? What is a call to action and where on the page should it go? But, most important of all, what graphical design elements will increase the likelihood that students and parents will actually read your materials? This workshop is aimed at non-designers and will provide participants with a creative cookbook full of recipes and tips for stirring up graphical sensations.
